Valérie Brings the Puppets to Life:

Away from Lange Reihe, there are always little hidden gems to discover in St. Georg. One of them is Atelier figurart at Danziger Straße 40. The studio opposite the playground quickly became a favorite among children when it was opened by Valérie Bayol in 2011.

In this photo book, I present a selection of the hand puppets, marionettes, and tabletop figures that I have created myself. This volume focuses mainly on figures that were originally designed for a fairy tale. That is why it features many queens and kings, princesses and princes, witches and wizards.
These characters have since become part of a fantasy story that I wrote myself: “The Search for the Dragon Queen.” The figures shown here represent human characters—the animals, dwarves, dragons, and other fantastical creatures will be presented in another volume.
